I'm a voter
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
Counting down…
Four steps, about two minutes: check your registration, find where and when, make a plan, send it to one person. Everything here links to your state's official election office. Nothing you type leaves your device.
1 Am I registered?
Many people who think they are unregistered are not. Check before you assume.
2 Where and when
- Early voting ends
- Mail ballot must be
- Polls on Election Day
Sources and checked-on dates appear here.
3 I'm a voter. Here is my plan.
People who answer when, where and how they will vote turn out at measurably higher rates than people who only intend to. Four taps.
Put it on your calendar
Send the plan to one person
Prefer email reminders from a nonpartisan source? Vote.org sends them; we do not run a text program.
4 If something goes wrong
- Still in line when polls close? Stay in line. You have the right to vote.
- Told you are not on the rolls? Ask for a provisional ballot, then follow your state's instructions to confirm it counts.
- Election Protection hotline (nonpartisan): 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683); Spanish 888-VE-Y-VOTA; Asian languages 888-API-VOTE; Arabic 844-YALLA-US.
- Voting records are public. Your neighbors will vote.
Hotlines are run by the Election Protection coalition, 866ourvote.org.
Official links come from vote.gov and the National Association of Secretaries of State; deadlines from NCSL, Ballotpedia and Vote.org, all checked 2026-10-26. Rules change; your county office is the final word. Found an error? Tell me.
