Restricted by Meta before the election? Tell us
In the final weeks before the November 3 election, Meta restricted or suspended accounts and ads that were doing ordinary political work: the No Kings coalition on Instagram on its early-voting day of action, a Florida Senate candidate's Latino-outreach account during a get-out-the-vote rally, campaign ads in Ohio, and this site's own Florida account, which was blocked from posting, messaging and advertising through Election Day after two voting memes were misclassified by an automated system. Meta's own Oversight Board has described "recurring enforcement failures" around this election, and fourteen state attorneys general have asked Meta to name every election-related account it has taken down this cycle.
Meta has not published that list. So we are building it from the people it happened to.
Who should fill this in: anyone in the United States whose Facebook, Instagram, Threads or WhatsApp account, Page, group or ad account was suspended, restricted, demoted or had ads rejected or stopped between September 1 and November 3, 2026, where the content was political, electoral or get-out-the-vote and you believe the action was wrong. If you paid Meta for ads that were stopped, that matters most: say so and give the amount.
What happens to it: your entry goes into a private queue read by one person. Nothing is published. Entries are shared, with your permission, with the state attorneys general reviewing Meta's election enforcement, with Meta's Oversight Board, and with lawyers evaluating a class action on behalf of advertisers. You will be contacted before anything is filed in your name. Your email is never sold or used for advertising. Privacy policy.
What helps most: the exact text of Meta's notice, the date and time, a screenshot of the Account Status or Ad Account screen, and, if you paid for ads, the ad account ID and the spend during the restriction. If you were restored, say when and whether a person or a bot reviewed it.
